Fraudster pleads
The former head of a body armor company convicted of securities fraud and other charges in a $185 million stock scheme has pleaded guilty to tax charges.
David Brooks entered the federal plea yesterday in Central Islip.
Prosecutors accused Brooks of looting Westbury-based DHB Industries. The company, now known as Point Blank Solutions, has moved to Pompano Beach, Fla.
