Internet giant Google has received clearance from the Federal Trade Commission to move ahead with its $750 million purchase of mobile advertising company AdMob, according to a source close the situation.
The agency is expected to make an announcement today, the source said.
The deal has been closely watched in Silicon Valley, as Google has been subject to scrutiny by regulators for many of its business practices.
