Capital Research Global Investors, which manages money for the Capital Group’s American Funds, acquired a 10.5 percent stake in Netflix, the film and TV subscription streaming service. The holding is worth almost $350 million.

Netflix rose 3.4 percent to $59.90. The shares lost 25 percent on July 25, the day after the company said it may not reach its subscriber growth forecast.
