Google subsidiary Motorola Mobility has dropped a complaint of patent infringement against Apple.

In an International Trade Commission filing, Motorola Mobility said it was dropping a complaint Apple had violated seven patents.

Google and Apple have been involved in a global patent war since 2010.

Separately, Google will buy facial recognition technology company Viewdle.
