Google reported fourth- quarter results that blew away the competition – but investors still weren’t satisfied.

The Internet juggernaut said profit nearly tripled as its bread-and-butter search business widened its lead over rivals.

But shares sank in late trading after the company reported revenue growth that was largely in line with analyst estimates.

Google shares rose $7.18, or 1.5 percent, to close at $501.50 before dropping as much as 3.7 percent in late trading.
