A new analysis by HowMuch.net shows how far $1 million goes in retirement in every state. And when it comes to our area … well, we’re not in Kansas, Toto.
In Connecticut a mil should support you for almost 19 years, assuming you spend $50,000 a year.
In New Jersey, it will last just 17 years, due to higher living expenses.
And, in New York, of course, you’ll be tapped out at 16 years.
