Valentine’s Day is on … uh … I forget when it is. But I’m pretty sure that it’s coming up soon.

So this is what you might want to know. And it’s pretty shocking.

According to a survey by WalletHub, women are 33 percent more likely than men to spend nothing on Valentine’s Day. And men are two times more likely than women to spend over $100.

This, in my opinion, once again shows that women are smarter.

Men are also three times more likely than women to think a V-Day gift is worth going into credit card debt for, which is understandable, after all, because they are spending more than a hundred bucks.

But before you go all out — and into debt — for a V-Day gift, you might want to consider this: The survey also found that 40 percent of the people said irresponsible spending is a bigger turnoff than bad breath.

And 53 percent of the folks surveyed said they would not marry someone with bad credit.

So, I guess the moral of this story is: If you want to get some romance without the threat of marriage, make sure you rack up that credit card debt on a Valentine’s Day present.
