Dear John: I am having a very hard time getting a $4,067 tax refund check from the Virginia Department of Taxation for tax year 2016.

This has been going on and on for months, and I cannot get an employee there to tell me they are going to process my refund.

I have sent them everything they have asked for.

Can you please help me? H.D.

Dear H.D. I called the Virginia tax people, and you now have your money.

I’ll let you explain: “I received the refund check from the state of Virginia that I had asked your help in obtaining. They sounded very anxious to get the check to me after your contact with them. Thank you very much. Very much!”

You are welcome. They were very cordial to me. But they didn’t owe me money.
