IBM beats estimates
IBM posted fourth-quarter profit that topped analysts’ estimates as companies spent more on computer systems.
Per-share profit rose to $4.18, the company said yesterday, topping the $4.08 average estimate of analysts.
Sales climbed 6.6 percent to $29 billion. Analysts on average estimated sales of $28.3 billion.
IBM shares were up in after-hours trading and have gained 2.7 percent this year.
