Americans are delaying renovations to kitchens and bathrooms, curbing sales for Home Depot and Lowe’s.
The two largest US home-improvement retailers may cut sales forecasts next week after some suppliers reported slower deliveries of paint, cabinets and faucets in the third quarter, according to a report.
Household spending, which accounts for 70 percent of the economy, is “constrained,” the Fed said last week.
