Global insurance and investment firm Starr is expanding into Silverstein Properties’ 1177 Sixth Ave. The new, 49,264 square-foot lease is in addition to Starr’s current space at 399 Park Ave., where it will remain.

Sources said the asking rent was in the $80s per square foot.

Starr will have the entire seventh and eighth floors of 1177 Sixth, including a private outdoor space overlooking the teeming avenue.

Silverstein leasing vice-president Harlan Strader said the tower’s “balance of big-business prestige with boutique touches and its uplifting, sun-filled environment” continue to draw firms placing a premium on wellness and productivity.

Recent leases include for H.W. Kaufman Group, which moved its headquarters there. Major tenants include Kramer Levin and private equity firm Mill Point Capital.

At sidewalk level, a new outpost of fast-causal Middle Eastern eatery Naya will soon open, joining menswear shop Charles Tyrwhitt, a longtime tenant.
