Hedge-fund giant Nelson Peltz and PepsiCo Chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi have become friendly just months after Peltz launched a tough proxy contest against her and the board.

Peltz is co-chair of the Board of Trustees for the Simon Wiesenthal Center. The New York chapter of the human rights organization is honoring Nooyi in 2016 at its annual tribute dinner, The Post has learned.

PepsiCo in January added Peltz adviser Bill Johnson to its board, ending what had been a protracted proxy war.

Peltz cannot join the board himself, since he is also on the board of PepsiCo competitor Mondelez.

In March 2014, Peltz was instead railing publicly against PepsiCo, trying to get it to split off its soda business from its Frito-Lay snacks division.

Peltz said CEO Nooyi was on the record stating that “If it were a standalone company, Frito-Lay North America might well be the best consumer products company.”

Peltz countered that with, “Who are we to disagree?” when pushing for the split.
