Apple iPads have been selling like . . . well, like iPads on eBay.

Fueled by a lack of supply in Apple stores, almost 12,000 iPad2 tablets sold on the online auction site in the first two weeks the hot gadget hit the market, eBay said yesterday.

The average price for the iPad2s sold on the site was 30 percent above Apple’s suggested retail price, eBay said, noting that 35 percent of those sold were shipped outside the US.
