Jamie Dimon was released from the hospital on Thursday following emergency heart surgery last week.
An acute aortic dissection, a condition in which the inner lining of the aorta has torn away from the outside wall, necessitated the operation on the JPMorgan Chase chief executive.
Reports earlier in the week said the 63-year-old Dimon felt well and doctors considered the surgery a success.
Shares of the bank’s stock dropped 8.7 percent during early afternoon trading, to $87.56.
