It might be safer to rent a goat to mow your lawn.

John Deere is recalling more than 2,000 lawn tractors over a brake arm that can fail and cause a crash.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday to stop using the tractors immediately and call the company for a free repair. The agency said there had been no reports of injuries.

The tractors, which cost between $1,700 and $2,700, were sold at Home Depot, Lowe’s and other stores since May.

The recall is for John Deere models D110, D125, D130, D140, D155, D160 and D170 with serial numbers beginning with 1GXD.

Call the company at (800) 537-8233 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET Saturday for more information.
