Not even the “London Whale” can sink JPMorgan’s reputation.

Despite the $6 billion trading blunder, JPMorgan is still the most admired big bank in the world, according to Fortune’s annual ranking of most admired companies.

JPMorgan, which placed 28th overall on the list of well respected firms — beat rivals including Goldman Sachs and Wells Fargo, which placed 34th and 38th, respectively.

JPMorgan is tops despite the embarrassing trading loss that tarnished the bank’s reputation and that of CEO Jamie Dimon.

To be sure, JPMorgan appears to have lost a little of its shine compared to last year, when it ranked 22nd on the list.
