JPMorgan tops in hiring
Looking for a job? Try JPMorgan Chase.
The bank advertised for the most jobs of any business in both Brooklyn and Manhattan last year, and also was No. 2 in Queens, No. 3 in The Bronx and No. 5 on Staten Island. Last year, it increased its workforce by 8 percent, to 239,831. For the 26,314 workers in the bank’s deal-making units, bonuses averaged $369,651 this month.
The positions available were across the board, Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon said in a statement Friday. JPMorgan “made substantial investments in the future of our businesses, opening branches and offices, and adding bankers around the world, including hiring more than 8,000 people in the US alone.”
