Maybe we’re overplaying this, but the usually calm and collected Jamie Dimon seemed to be a tad out of sorts on Friday.

During the JPMorgan Chase conference call to discuss the bank’s third-quarter results — including the first-ever quarterly loss under the prominent CEO’s stewardship — Dimon seemed for a moment to be out of sync with his CFO Marianne Lake, who had to rein him in at one point during the call.

“I’ll get to that,” she’s believed to have grumbled to her boss as Dimon jumped in as she was answering an analyst question.

Dimon, who makes a habit of being available during the calls, has been generally simpatico with Lake, whom he holds in very high regard.

But the CEO was a bit more revved up than usual.

Dimon also made a rare early exit from the call with analysts, to attend an unspecified meeting.

Lake remained on the call to discuss the third-quarter numbers for only a few minutes after Dimon left — but it’s rare for him to exit a call before it’s over.
