Kayak, online travel company, reported net income grew 94 percent last year, on a 30.4 percent gain in revenues compared to the previous year.

The company, which is being acquired by Priceline.com, rang up the gains despite revenue per thousand queries falling slightly, to $251 from $255, as its mobile business, which brings in less revenue per request than its traditional business, grew to 17.6 percent of queries from 12.4 percent in 2011.
