A coalition of seven major public pension systems, led by New York City Comptroller John Liu, has asked the boards of Bank of America, Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo to to launch independent examinations of their loan modification and foreclosure procedures. Bank reps could not be reached for immediate comment yesterday.
