Macy’s taps AmEx
American Express Co. will replace Visa Inc., the world’s biggest payments network, as the exclusive processor for Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s credit cards.
Citigroup will issue new cards bearing the store names and AmEx logo by the end of the year, Macy’s said in a statement.
The deal doesn’t affect store-issued cards, which can’t be used at other merchants. Credit limits, account data and rewards won’t change, said Macy’s.
