So much for machines replacing fast-food workers — at least for this summer.

McDonald’s said Monday it will hire 250,000 workers this summer — 9 percent more than last year.

But not all the hires will be flipping burgers.

The hamburger giant is super-sizing its seasonal workforce as it experiments with new, more labor-intensive ways to draw in customers — including using some of the recruits to wait tables at some of its 14,000 US eateries.

Others might be offering food deliveries, much like local pizza joints.

On Tuesday, McDonald’s will begin advertising on Snapchat, Spotify and Hulu to reach some of these potential hires. More than half the hires will be 16 to 24 years old.

“Everything we are doing is more customer-centric,” said a spokeswoman for the Chicago-based company.

At least 120 restaurants in the New York metro area, for example, are offering table side service — where a customer orders food from a kiosk or cashier and the order is brought to their table.
