MF Global wrangling
The judge overseeing MF Global’s bankruptcy asked for changes in the agreements a trustee for customers has made about class-action lawsuits against Jon Corzine and other ex-executives.
US Bankruptcy Judge Martin Glenn said the agreement should give his court more authority to approve how customers and creditors share any proceeds. The trustee, James Giddens, had proposed overseeing the distribution. Louis Freeh, the trustee of the failed brokerage’s parent company, had objected, saying he should oversee the suits.
