Julius the Monkey, meet the Power Rangers.

Paul Frank Industries — which has slapped its wide-mouthed monkey character on everything from socks to wallets — has agreed to be acquired by Saban Brands, controlled by Haim Saban, the Los Angeles billionaire who owns the Power Rangers franchise, The Post has learned.

The deal is expected to be announced as soon as today. Terms of the pact couldn’t be learned, but Paul Frank’s backers, including fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, had been looking to fetch as much as $50 million, according to sources.

Saban, a savvy media investor who built his fortune in the kids TV business, is moving into brand management. He has committed $500 million to Saban Brands with an eye toward acquiring entertainment and consumer properties.

Paul Frank generates $8 million a year in royalties from licensees, which are estimated to sell more than $160 million annually in products ranging from bikes and furniture to plush toys and sunglasses.

As first reported by The Post, Paul Frank hired Guggenheim Partners to assist the sale.
