Is Money.net hooking new users?

Morgan Downey’s trading platform, designed to take on pricey Bloomberg terminals, launched in October.

The former Bloomie exec’s platform lets anyone participate in the financial markets in real time, on a desktop and on mobile devices, for as little as $50 a month.

Julie Earle-Levine hears Rich Rosenblum, a managing director and head of options trading at Goldman Sachs, quit last week after more than a decade at the firm. He’s joining the $23 billion Elliott Management hedge fund in New York.

One of the first things Rosenblum apparently did after leaving Goldman was to go to Money.net to meet with Downey and check out a new alerts system.

Downey, the head of global commodities at Bloomberg for four years, tweeted, “Rich Rosenblum (#1 oil options trader) came by today to check out the new Money.Net oil refinery alerts.”
