Amy Sacco, the New York nightclub queen behind the celebrity-studded Bungalow 8 and now a partner in No. 8 and LDV Hospitality owned-and-operated Rec Room, is opening a branch of the latter in Aspen this summer.

Sacco says Aspen is the perfect client base, attracting a well-traveled crowd who jet between New York, LA, Palm Beach and South Beach.

Sacco is also headed to the Hamptons, where the group is doing the beach club at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa. There’s another Rec in Miami.

Bobby Rossi, also a partner in the clubs, says Aspen, with skiing, high-end shopping and a social scene, is ahead of the curve.

He says they’ll be bringing the same laid-back vibe, with an extensive, curated record collection, to the Aspen club. “In Aspen alone, the team has spent over $20,000 amassing a collection of vintage records sourced from across the US from famed Bungalow 8 DJ, Uncle Mike.”

He says Aspen will cater to the same New York crowd.

“Guys with money, image people, artists — and we put it all together. It tends to be a good party.”

Bono, George Clooney and Scarlett Johansson are fans of the clubs. In Aspen, they’ll serve the VDKA6100 watermelon martini at $18 a pop. “Table minimums start at $2,000, but for those who love to have a great time, a $4,000 bottle of champagne is not out of the question,” says Rossi.
