Noodles & Co., the 343-store restaurant chain that serves pastas and soups in 26 states, more than doubled in its first day of trading after it priced its IPO above an increased price range.

Shares of the Broomfield, Colo.-based company closed at $36.75. Noodles, which sold 5.36 million shares, had upped its price range to $15 to $17 from $13 to $15.
