NYC LAGS US
New Yorkers may be better educated and think of themselves as more hip than fly over America, but they trail the rest of the country when it comes to being better prepared for retirement, a recent survey found.
Seventy-one percent of folks in NYC don’t have an IRA compared to 61 percent of overall Americans, the survey, taken by the Bank of America, found.
Four in 10 New Yorkers have backed off investing due to the economy slowdown while just 20 percent of those nationally have been soured on Wall Street.
