Federal authorities revealed two important details about the finances of so-called “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli on Thursday: He has $45 million sitting in his E*Trade account, and he cannot touch, move or do anything else with the investment funds.

Shkreli, 32, has been out on $5 million bail since he was indicted last month on security fraud charges, but prosecutors Thursday filed papers stating they have frozen the eight-figure account because Shkreli used it to secure his freedom.

E*Trade must notify prosecutors if the balance in the account slips below $5 million — jeopardizing the bond and landing Shkreli in jail.
