The Big Apple is No. 3 in trade — but not for long.
The New York metropolitan area is within “striking distance” of overtaking LA as the largest trade region in the nation, according to a new report cited in today’s Crain’s New York Business.
New York is the nation’s third-busiest port, behind LA and neighboring Long Beach, Calif. But the region is growing at a faster pace than its West Coast rivals.
