Citigroup investor and all-around rich guy Prince Alwaleed bin Talal told Fox Business news he’s giving CEO Vikram Pandit one year to prove himself.
The Saudi Arabian prince, who’s one of Citi’s biggest shareholders, said he wants the petite CEO to really start ramping it up. “Time to deliver,” he said he told Pandit.
“I told him today very openly 2010 is the year to make it,” the prince told Neil Cavuto, relaying a recent conversation.
“The honeymoon is over now,” he said. “Shareholders have been very patient” with Pandit, who took over from disgraced CEO Chuck Prince in 2007.
