Protecting copyrights
The White House has unveiled its first ever plan to get tough on intellectual property crime, saying federal regulators will police copyrights much more forcefully. The issue is of great concern to movie and entertainment executives.
Warner Bros. executive Barry Meyer told a Senate panel yesterday that there were 1.7 million illegal downloads of “Sherlock Holmes” in the first month of its release.
