A school of sharks will swarm the New Jersey headquarters of tax prep titan Jackson Hewitt on Tuesday to protest huge fees it attaches to the instant-refund service used by thousands of low-income New Yorkers.

Members of consumer advocacy organizations, including the local Neighborhood Economic Development Advocacy Project (NEDAP), will don shark suits and hats and wave six-foot inflatable sharks to highlight what they allege is legal loan-sharking by America’s No. 2 tax prep firm.

The angry advocates will also present Jackson Hewitt with a giant check for $74.5 million – the amount they say Hewitt should refund customers.
