On their 10th day of deliberations yesterday, the jury in the Raj Rajaratnam insider-trading trial asked to hear a dozen tapes between the accused fraudster and his former pal and Intel executive Rajiv Goel.
Many of the tapes were played during week one of deliberations and center on a deal involving Clearwire. But the jury also asked to listen to a fresh call showing Rajaratnam and Goel discussing PeopleSupport.
Allegations of illegal trades in PeopleSupport include counts 11 and 12 of the 14-count indictment, suggesting a verdict could be close.
Elsewhere in Manhattan federal court, lawyers met to hash out details of the upcoming trial centering on former Galleon trader Zvi Goffer and two others. The trial starts on May 16.
