The Reader’s Digest Association yesterday named Jeff Wellington as publisher of its flagship magazine, some five months after veteran Ben Madden was ousted in a clash with RDA’s new owners.

Wellington was most recently the president and group publisher of The Parenting Group.

RDA’s private-equity owners want more profit from the 85-year-old magazine, which has just cut its guaranteed circulation to 8 million.
