Dear John: I read your brief article on marijuana legalization. You are correct in saying legalized prostitution is probably next.

I suppose we are a civilization that has come to the same destination as prior cultures: so debased that moral weakness will bring about our downfall. I think there are parallels between our country today and the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, which the Lord destroyed.

We have become not only a very wicked country, but an arrogant one as well. J.F.

Readers: Back in March, I ran a letter from a Muslim man who had worked undercover for the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance saying he never got paid the $20,400 he had coming to him.

This guy was part of a group that prevented the bombing of a Jewish Center in Manhattan. The NYS DTF still hasn’t paid him for this work, which occurred in 2010.
