What do Evel Knievel and Pope Paul VI have in common — besides their heavenly status?
They once owned the same pieces of jewelry — a diamond ring and a 7-inch diamond cross necklace — that are being sold for $1.9 million at the New York Art, Antique & Jewelry Show at the Park Avenue Armory.
Knievel, who owned the jewels for 20 years and sold it to a couple in North Carolina 20 years ago, said they were the most expensive items he owned.
