According to a survey by online couponer RetailMeNot.com, 50 percent of consumers intend to spend $100 or less on their significant other this Valentine’s Day. And that’s the good news.
In a development that portends the death of romance, nearly a fourth of the respondents said they won’t spend a dime.
A spokeswoman blamed the economy. Let’s see how that excuse flies on the 14th.
