Relativity founder Ryan Kavanaugh is going after yet another business partner, accusing VII Peaks of failing to come up with the money to help pay debts and continue the business.

Kavanaugh said Monday that VII Peaks had misrepresented itself. “We fully expect that their next move will be to concoct some claim of fraud in an effort to disguise the simple fact that they could not close,” he said.

San Francisco-based VII Peaks, run by managing partner Gurpreet Chandhoke, did not respond to a call for comment. The company was supposed to have injected $250 million to help ease Relativity’s funding crunch in the summer.

“VII Peaks’ maneuvers were not without a cost, and the company and its stakeholders will continue to seek redress for the resulting harm in the courts,” said a Relativity statement.
