Sen. Chuck Schumer is championing changes to visa rules to encourage foreign tech brainiacs to put down roots in the US instead of taking their talents home.

Schumer plans on introducing the so-called Brains Act today at tech incubator New York General Assembly in the Flatiron District. The bill aims to make it easier for international students to stay in the US after graduating and work in high-tech corridors like New York’s Silicon Alley.
