Sears Holdings forecast a loss for the quarter ended April 30 of $145 million to $195 million, or $1.35 a share to $1.81 a share. In the year-ago quarter, Sears earned $16 million, or 14 cents. Sales at its Kmart stores open at least a year fell 1.6 percent during the quarter, while sales at US Sears stores slipped 5.2 percent. Purchases made on its Web sites rose 22 percent.
