Sears Holdings said yesterday it has hired a firm to license out its Kenmore, Craftsman and Diehard brands for sale at other retailers.
Sears, which already has been licensing certain Craftsman products to Costco and Ace Hardware, has hired Leveraged Marketing Corp. of America to step up the effort.
The move is the latest by Sears Chairman Eddie Lampert to put the retailers family jewels in hock as it faces a looming liquidity crisis.
As first reported by The Post, Sears also has begun shopping its Lands’ End brand to private-equity firms, and continues to sell valuable real estate.
