This year’s hot trend: Selling your startup.

New York tech newbie Send The Trend is about to be acquired by a “major television media company,” a source familiar with the transaction told The Post.

Send The Trend — a shopping site that customizes accessories and fashion items for its members — would become the latest city startup to see an exit for founders and shareholders.

Launched two years ago, the company is led by Divya Gugnani and lists “Project Runway” winner Christian Siriano among its founders. It has raised $3 million in venture capital from the likes of Battery Ventures and FirstMark Capital.

The buyer and selling price are being kept under wraps, but a source told The Post that the deal will provide a return for shareholders.

The sale is expected to be announced as early as today.
