Sirius Satellite Radio scored a content coup against rival XM Satellite Radio yesterday, inking a deal that steals Frank Sinatra Enterprises away from XM.

Sirius will use material from the Sinatra estate, which controls the rights to Ol’ Blue Eyes’ work, to create a channel called “Siriusly Sinatra.”

In addition to his music, the channel will feature a weekly show hosted by Frank’s daughter Nancy. Sirius also plans “The Chairman’s Hour,” which would be hosted by Frank Sinatra using archived spoken word and music.

As part of the deal, whose financial terms were not disclosed, Sirius is allowed to play large blocks of Sinatra songs as well as air exclusive interviews, unreleased music and spoken-word material. Sirius also gets to use the Sinatra name and likeness in marketing and promotional materials.

Sirius was able to snag the rights to the content after a deal the Sinatra family had with rival XM expired a few weeks ago. As a result of losing the Sinatra material, XM was forced to change the name of its Sinatra-themed channel to “High Standards” from “Frank’s Place.”
