Current TV correspondent Euna Lee, who with her colleague Laura Ling was captured by North Korea and sentenced to 12 years hard labor before being freed, is writing her memoir of the experience for the Broadway Books imprint of Random House.

She received a six figure advance for the book, tentatively titled, “The World is Bigger Now: A Memoir of Faith, Family and Freedom.”

Lee and Ling accidentally crossed into North Korea on March 17th. In June, they were sentenced by the North Korean courts to 12 years of hard labor. North Korean leader Kim Jong-il pardoned them in August, a day after former President Bill Clinton made a secret visit to the country to work on their release.

There is no publication date for the book, which was brokered by Jennifer Gates and Todd Shuster at the Zachary Shuster Harmsworth Literary Agency.
