Sirius XM Radio, the unprofitable satellite broadcaster, said Howard Stern’s talk show won’t be available on the service it introduced today for Apple Inc.’s iPhone and iPod Touch.

Stern’s broadcasts won’t be offered because of the “mature programming,” according to a Sirius XM customer service representative reached yesterday by telephone. The iPhone and iPod Touch applications are free for Sirius XM subscribers who already pay a $12.99 monthly fee.
