Target may have missed out on beaucoup sales on Cyber Monday after its website went on the fritz under the weight of a crush of customers.

On and off through the day, visitors to the site — who were offered a 15 percent discount on all online purchases — were unable to complete a purchase and were advised: “Please hold tight. High traffic is causing delays.”

A spokeswoman for the Minneapolis-based company said Target’s “volume is already twice as high as our busiest day ever.”

Shoppers were scrambling to scoop up a 48-inch Samsung 4K Ultra HD TV for $599.99 and an Xbox One 500GB Gears of War for $299, which were among the retailer’s most sought-after items, a spokesman said.

Other retailers, like Neiman Marcus, had it worse. The luxury department store’s website was down most of Black Friday.
