Wannabe hedge fund managers are itching to get in on the cryptocraze — they just need some hand-holding getting there.
Only two hands went up at a crypto event attended by dozens Thursday when a panelist asked how many were at a hedge fund.
“You’re a salesman. You’re always going to be a salesman,” said Alex Mascioli, CEO at North Street Global, explaining to the hedgies that it doesn’t matter if it’s cryptos or mutual funds — they just need to get in front of people and sell.
The event, which was hosted by Capital Fund Law Group, at times teetered between being a dry compliance seminar and a bullish sales conference.
