Almost half of US couples argue over finances, a study out Thursday revealed — and 60 percent do not like their partner’s spending habits.

The acrimony is sparked by feelings that the partner — whether a spouse or just a significant other — is too cavalier or too frugal with money, according to the survey from the newly launched TheCashlorette.com, a Bankrate.com brand for personal finance for millennials.

The survey found that 48 percent of couples are over finances.
