The owner of a Midwest McDonald’s set to open in July has come up with a tasty marketing idea — unlimited french fries.
Chris Habiger, who owns six McDonald’s restaurants, plans to offer the salty side dish menu item for a separate price to anyone who orders a custom-designed sandwich.
It is believed Habiger’s under construction “McDonald’s of the Future,” a 6,500 square foot giant with digital ordering kiosks allowing for customizable burgers, comfy couches and a three-story play area, will be the first in the country with such an all-you-can eat option.
It will offer the unlimited fries menu option for at least two months.
Customers better watch their diets. Each small (2.6 oz.) serving of fries carries 230 calories, with 11 grams of fat and 130 milligrams of salt.
The price of the unlimited fries offer has not yet been set but customers selecting that option will likely be served their fried potatoes in a basket, not the customary cardboard container.
It is not known if corporate McDonald’s will look to follow Habiger’s lead and spread the unlimited fries promotion from coast-to-coast.
